The list from workshop 4 with O'rlagh

The list was basically made up of random words that came to mind, when thinking of the word "DATA". Using this list i went on a site called Wordle.net and typed the words in the provided box and it simply re- arranged the words in a creative way.

4th workshop with O'rlagh

First we were asked to write down 10 words that came to mind, which involved Data. Then we had to pick one word and using Lego, We had to create the chosen word. The word i chose was Pixel.

After i made my word out of Lego. Using the squares on the grid paper i began drawing each square one by one. To get the word as accurate as possible.

Using illustrator i opened a new document. Again using the grid i done the same as i did on paper. Adding colour as i went along, to produce an out come.

Using Dreamweaver

The first thing i did was create a new folder on the desktop. I then opened dreamweaver went to manage sites, then clicked on new and then site. Then i called the site Test and stored it in the folder i created on the desktop.

After i then opened a new document as a HTML. Then i had to go to View and make sure it was on design mode. Also going into table mode and putting it on layout mode.
The we had to add are name. I done this by going into insert, layout objects and then layout cell. I then made a box and wrote my name changing it to Arial and size 24. 
We then went to Preview in browser.
And it opened in safari. Now going back to dreamweaver i had to change the name of the page to Index.html. After i went back to my name and under it just added the name of the project. Again open it in safari.
The next thing i had to do was create a new folder called Media and put it the folder i made on the desktop. I then found a moving image i made from the last workshop and dragged it into the media folder.
I then made another box by clicking on layout cell. After making the box i then went to media plugin, went into my media folder and clicked on the moving image.

Again going into preview in browser and then safari, i then could see my final outcome.

Hand & Screen workshop with Orlagh

This is a collage of work we had done with O'rlagh. We were asked to write a list of objects, information or anything that could be collected. For example a set of house keys. We were then told to chooses one thing from the list and began collecting it from the people in the class. After we had done this we were then told to come up with a way to present it. Some people took photographs, some layed it on a table in a certain order, some made quick video or book and others made a power point.

 My idea from the list was to photocopy everyones left hand, lay it out on the table and see the similarities. This is what i came up with.

Final Outcome from Work shop 2 with O'rlagh

Using my idea of taking pictures of every ones hand in class and taking what i had learnt. I then began thinking how i could progress on my idea. So using my family i took a picture of each of there left hand. Concentrating on the lines in the middle of each. By doing this i then thought about how i could connect them. I came up with the idea of a family tree. After doing this I'm then going to create an animation using photo shop with just the lines on each hand. Layering them to see how similar they are.

Using illustrator i placed four faces including mine in a new document. I then used the shape tool to put dots on each face were i thought was the most important, creating new layers and using different colours for each. I then grouped and placed each set of dots into photoshop. Using what i learnt before i then created another animation.

After this work shop i went and done the same. Using four photos of my self which were all facing the same direction.

Animation

First we were asked to take pictures of everyone in the class. Then we had to crop them down to all the same size in photoshop. Layering them on each other using a grid.

We then went into filter and selected pixelate and then colour half tone, going up in to two's.

After doing this we went into windows, clicked on animation and added new layers. Editing the times between layers to two seconds. By doing all this i ended up with an animation for my final out come.
